As we close out 2020 and reflect on the many challenges and uncertainties created by COVID-19, let us not forget how God has worked in our lives to help get us through these difficult times. Every new season is a testimony to His grace. So, the fitting response to the past year is not “I made it through.” It is “Thank you, Lord.”

If you have a testimony to share – a story of what God has done for you – please share it here. Your testimony might just help someone else as we prepare to start a New Year with renewed faith in the goodness and mercy of God.

God has been Good to me and my family as well. He has provided our every need. He protected us. Most of all he loves me as I truly love him.

I'm so thankful to have this honor to give God the praise for keeping me and my family safe through all seen and unseen danger during the year 2020. Because I know God loves me and is watching over me, I have been able to go to work each and everyday and to be able to be there for others. When I know that there are many people who are not able to go to work and they have lost so much in year 2020, i count my blessings everyday. As I trust in the Lord in year 2020, I will continue to trust in Him in year 2021. For the Lord is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I will always trust.

Through it ALL, I have learned to trust in God and to depend on His word for all that I need. The year 2020 has been an unusual year and although many things hsve happened that were unforeseen, GOD has continued to bless - through it all. And I can truly say that I know more at the end of the year than I knew at the beginning. My faith is stronger. I am continually hopeful for I know who holds my future and most of ALL, I can praise Him with a joy that is greater than at any other time in my life. I thank HIM and I am grateful for the blessings that this year have brought to me. My sadness at the passing of my husband has been made bearable by the love and support of my church family, along with my biological and adopted families. I pray that each of you may be blessed by the knowledge that God never fails to give us just what we need just when we need it. Happy and Healthy New Year to ALL.

2020 was that kind of year that felt like I've been through the fire, but I got out! Unlike many people known and the unknown. This was a year of healing and growth for me, and I owe it all to GOD. In spite of the most recent loss of my beloved God mother Monday night due to COVID-19, I am forever grateful that God favors me. My faith strengthens each day. Today I can truly say that God has not given me the spirit of fear. I pray that My St. Matthews Family have a blessed New Year.

Despite this unprecedented year I thank God for his many blessings. I’m grateful for my growing relationship with God. Despite the challenges of life I have joy in knowing God’s promise to never leave or forsake me-Deuteronomy 31:6. I’ve learned to get out of my own way and allow God to work through me and for me. To God be the glory. May you all have a blessed New Year!

May all glory and praise go to God, in spite of 2020. I could not begin to list the blessings that God has given me. But I will tell you this, those little things you take for granted, don't , thank God for them, for every thing we should give thanks, God blessed me with a great granddaughter after being born weighing less than 3 lbs, she's in perfect health now, my son who was hospitalized for 2 weeks, in intensive care, a husband who has had 2 bouts of cancer. My mom is still with me above ground, like I said I can't begin to list them all, but my message for the new year is this, love and trust God always. Love and make amends with wayward family and friends. And be blessed. Love you all Happy New Year.

Being sequestered at home with my mother and husband has brought us closer as a family and provided us the ability to spend quality family dinner time that was nonexistent. I have been truly blessed to have a a job, a roof over my head and all my needs met. I have been blessed to get a new leadership role within my office and a pay raise without applying for a job. God has kept my millennial son safe, my mother safe and relatively comfortable and my sister to safely arrive back home from South Korea. Although anxiety and stress have to be frequently kept at bay, knowing God will never leave me or put more on me than I can bear okay.

Despite the craziness of this year, God pushed my family to higher heights. We loss some but gained much more. God saw fit to guide us all the way through. Health and strength, a sound mind, new job and home, clearing debt and so much more. Thankful His Favor.

God knows this has been a trying year for all. I’m thankful for God’s mercy for bringing me through this year. Keeping my illness stable with a few bumps in the road. So thankful for my children and friends that keep me on a positive track. God can do many and anything just know to keep praising Him.

To God be the Glory, great things He hath done for my family and I. Despite the challenges and the presence of a pandemic, His Grace and Mercy brought us through. I was blessed with a granddaughter in 2020 and God provided her and her mother with safety, healing and amazing development. After experiencing job loss due to the pandemic, my son was able find a replacement job just in time to maintain their financial well being. To God be the glory for His many blessings. While being thankful, I am praying for those who are in need and have experienced the loss of loved ones. May God continue to bless Pastor Blue and his family and the St Matthews church family. Amen!

All thanks to God for keeping me safe throughout 2020 and ignoring the declarations of the naysayers who believe Covid is no worse than the flu. This is no joke, and neither is God. Fortunately, no one in my family - and I have many in the most vulnerable age and underlying condition group - has caught Covid. I had to adjust to not going to the office, but I thank God for having the ability to work at home when there are those who cannot work from home, or even at all. God is still good; He has allowed me to see another birthday 2 weeks ago and has kept me clothed, fed and in my right mind. This, too, is no joke. I pray 2021 will keep us all healthy and safe in Jesus' arms! Happy New Year, St. Matthews family!

This year was very challenging to say the least. During the months of April and May two of my aunts transition. As heartbreaking as that was the fact that family couldn’t be there to say farewell was even more heartbreaking. In November my uncle transition along with cousin and other family members throughout this year. I come from a very large and close family and I felt like my heart couldn’t take no more grief. I want you to know that God is good no matter what you go through. I thank him for his grace and mercy and for blessing me with so much that I sometimes take for granted. I thank him for blessing my mother, and her siblings with health and strength. God is so good to me and I can’t explain it, but I thank him for keeping me in my right mind throughout this year! Happy New Year, love one another as we embrace the coming of a New Year. To God Be the Glory.

To God be the glory for All of the great things that He has done. I want to give al glory and honor to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I just want to thank God for keeping me and blessing me through this year. It hasn’t been easy, but I just kept my mind stayed on God and didn’t chime in with the negative comments of other’s. I just kept looking at it in this manner....... God doesn’t put you in situations that He won’t go through with you. Every day above ground is a great day, and I’m so very grateful for all of this year. It taught me to depend on God and that He will always be with me every step of the way. As we go into 2021, I solicit your prayers. I’ll be having surgery on the 8th of January. Please pray for me and as well as my family, and I will continue to pray for us all. May God’s grace and mercy continue to be upon you and you family. God bless you all and continue to be safe.

GOD is good all the time, and all the time GOD is good. Thank you LORD for allowing my Mom, Myrtle Robinson to live with the family for 95 years. That was truly a blessing. Although Mom passed on February 27 of this year, I know that she is in a better place. As long as I live, I will have precious memories of the times we spent together. Make sure that you tell your family and relatives that you love them while they are still here. Everyone Have a healthy and blessed New Year.

For the last six years I knew there had to be more, I went seeking. 3 year later to fall deep in a whole with no way out. Nevertheless I gave up let go and let God. It’s not easy however all I have prayed for in silence has been given to my family though our Father! I will continue to pray and share his word! It has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt! Happy Holidays to all God Bless !
